The family moved to Boston, Mass. in 1875. was cadet officer on the Massachusetts Training Ship the U.S.S. Enterprise He trained as an electrician at the Hawley School of Engineering, Boston, Mass. He was Chief Engineer for the Boston and 1 Worcester Street Railway in South Framingham, Mass.

for three years. He married Annie Elizabeth Hawley December 10, 1902. They moved to Searsport in 1905, where he supervised the construction Sprague Coal and Wharf Company and remained as superintendent for 30 years. He retired in 1935 and has resided at Punta Gorda Municipal Trailer Park since 1936. Mr.

Frame was a member of the Grand Lodge of Masons of Massachusetts. He received his 50-year pin from Wollaston Lodge. He was a member of Royal Arch Chapter, Quincy, Mariners Lodge, Searsport, Maine; and Blue Room Club, Association of Masonic Engineers. Surviving, besides his widow, are two daughters, Mrs. N.

J. Wright of Ferndale, Mrs. F. C. Wright of Calais; two sons, John of West Roxbury, Mass.

and three George of South Portland; grandsons; five granddaughters; two great-granddaughters; and a sister, Frank Fellows of Boylston, Mass. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Pongers Funeral Home, Punta Gorda, Fla. ADDIE GIBBONS BELFAST Mrs. Addie Gibbons, 83, died Wednesday at a local hospital following a brief illness.

She was born at Georgetown, December 31, 1880, daughter of Ernest and Annie (Ryder) Pinkbam. She had lived here for about two years and had previously resided at Bath. She is survived by three sons, Roy Walker of Belfast, Maurice Walker of Bangor, Frank Cole of Mrs. Portland; Madeline three daughters, Marshall of Belfast, Mrs. Edna Cressey Gardiner, Mrs.

Marjorie Lee of Berwick; four brothers, Clarence Pinkham in California, Ralph Pinkham in Gray, Milton Pinkham, Five Islands, Edward Pinkham, Richmond; three sisters, Mrs. Edna MacDonald of Bath, Mrs. Hazel Perry of Gray, Mrs. Stella Hale of Massachusetts; 19 grandchildren; great grandchildren; one great great grandchild and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at Rackliffe Funeral Home Saturday at 2 p.m., the Rev.

Norman C. Young of the Belfast Methodist Church officiating. Interment will be in Smart Cemetery. CARL S. STEVENS PORTLAND Carl S.

Stevens, of Scarborough, formerly of Livermore Falls, died Tuesday evening in a local hospital, following a frief illness. He was born June 1, 1901, at Cutler, son of Forrest and Nellie (French) Stevens. After graduating from Machias High School, he lived in Rockland and Livermore Falls before coming to Portland and Scarborough. For 23 years he was associated with the Central Maine Power Company and most recently he was manager of the stationery department at Zayres in Portland. He attended the Congregational Church and was a member and past officer of Aurora Lodge of Masons in Rockland.

He was past patron of Golden Rod Chapter, O.E.S. in Rockland former member of the Livermore Falls Lions Club. Besides his widow the former Thelma Hanscom, he is survived by a son, Paul H. Stevens of Livermore Falls; two sisters, Mrs. Marguerite Church and Mrs.

Virginia Seiz, both of New Jersey; six brothers, Harold and Albert Stevens of Haverhill, Forrest Stevens, 2nd. of Milford, Richard Stevens, of North Attleboro. Bickford Portland, and Nelson Stevens of Wood Haven, Long Island, N.Y.; two grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at 749 Congress Street, Portland.

Dr. Frederick H. Thompson, of Woodfords Congregational Church, will officiate. Interment will be in Livermore Falls. ROSE M.

COTE FORT FAIRFIELD Mrs. Rose M. Cote, 88, died Wednesday at a local hospital after a short illness. She was born at Presque Isle February 18, 1876, daughter of George L. and Susan (Graves) Cyr.

She had lived here for the past three years, and had made her home with her daughter, Mrs. Martha Thibeau of West Limestone Road. She is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Delphine Sirois, of Card of Thanks We wish to express our deep appreciation and thanks to the town of Monroe for the chicken pie dinner given us. A. W. Leonard, Thorndike Official, Dies THORNDIKE Arthur W. Leonard, 79, died at his residence Tuesday after a long 111- ness. He was born at New Glastow, N.S., October 10, 1884, son of John and Mary (Stevens) Leonard.

He was chairman of the town budget committee here, member of the Republican Town Committee and served as ballot clerk. He was a member of the Agricultural Soil Conservation, both state and county levels, member of the Farm Extension Association and past county president of the association. He was a member of the New England Milk Producers Association, a member and trustee of the Congregational Church of Thorndike, member of the Lodge of Masons of Thorndike, past master of Harvest Moon Grange here, member of the Pomona and State and National Grange, member and past associate patron of Josiah H. Drummond Chapter OES of Thorndike. Surviving are his widow, Mrs.

Grace W. Leonard; two sons, Herbert A. of Orono, er W. of Glastonbury, two sisters, Mrs. Annie Cole of Thorndike, Mrs.

Bertha Dixon, to the grand temple session, which is to be held in Portland on April 3 and 4. During the social hour, a discussion was held of the program for the district convention to be held in Calais with St. Croix Temple on May 25. The next meeting will be April 13 with Mrs. Lucille Scribner, as chairman for all April meetings.

The 'Calais Girl Scout Cadet Troop 192 met Tuesday afternoon at the American Legion Hall. Work was on their hostess badge, and plans were discussed for the troop to go on a bicycle ride next week. Mrs. Alvah Smith collected money from the cookie Mrs. Bryant Clement, leader was present at the meeting, and following the meeting, accompanied the girls on hike.

Markets Closed On Good Friday NEW YORK (UPI) Major securities and commodity exchanges in the United States and Canada will be closed on Good Friday, March 27. Most banks will be open. Markets in Europe will be closed both Friday and Easter Monday, March 30. Closed will be the New York produce, mercantile, cocoa, sugar, cotton and wool exchanges.

In Chicago the Board of Trade and Mercantile Exchange will close. However, livestock, onion and potato, butter egg markets will be open Friday. Trading was heavier. Steels, savings-and-loan holding companies, airlines, nonferrous metals, tobaccos and selected chemicals, airlines, electronics and office equipment made strides. Rails, motors and utilities were spotty.

Electrical equipments were mixed. Of 1,341 issues traded, gainers outnumbered losers 615 to 479. Highs for the year totaled 126 and lows 59. Little was expected of the market before the three-day Easter weekend. The markets will be closed Good Friday.

The Dow Jones industrial average rose 1.73 to 813.16.* Volume was 5.42 million shares compared with 5.22 million Tuesday. The Associated Prses average of 60 stocks rose .4 to 300.7 with industrials up .9, rails unchanged and utilities off .1. Ten of the 15 most active stocks advanced and 5 declined. Lehigh Valley Industries was the most active stock for the fourth straight session. The issue ran into heavy profit-taking as it sank to on 148,700 shares.

FRANK E. HALL BIDDEFORD Frank E. Hall, 48, a resident of 270 Hill Street, here, died Wednesday afternoon at his home following a long illness. He was born at Millinocket November 11, 1915, son of Frank B. and Sue (Dowling) Hall.

He was educated in Millinocket schools and attended Burdett College in Lynn, Mass. He was employed for several years by E. H. Hall Leather Company in Lynn as a salesman. He served in World War II as a captain in the Army Transportation Service.

On his release from the Army he worked for Sears; Roebuck and Co. and for the past eight years had been employed by the Diamond National Corp. and at the time of his death was district manager. He was a member of the Biddeford Saco Elks.
