Trump rails against conviction
We're seeing dramatic reactions to the conviction of former president Donald Trump. A New York jury found him guilty Thursday on 34 felony charges for his involvement in a hush money scheme. Trump is wasting no time trying to control the narrative.
Friday morning, he gave a fiery speech where he attacked the judge, the jury, the witnesses, and the guilty verdict.
President Joe Biden on Friday condemned Donald Trump's unfounded assertions of a biased legal system as “reckless” and “dangerous" — breaking his long-held silence on the presumptive Republican nominee's criminal woes as Trump's nearly three dozen felony convictions injected a new element of uncertainty into a volatile presidential campaign.
Biden’s sober denunciation of his predecessor and his defense of the U.S. legal system — delivered in just under two minutes from the White House — came after campaign aides made clear they would continue to focus on issues such as democracy, abortion rights and other freedoms that have formed the foundation of the president’s reelection bid.

Thief steals custom tricycle from Southern California…
A mother is distraught after a thief stole an adaptive tricycle from a young girl with a rare neurological disorder in Lawndale, California. Surveillance video captured the moment the thief spots the bike in the victim's front yard. He walks over and inspects the bike before rolling it across the street and placing it into his parked black van.
The bike belongs to Alli, a 7-year-old girl who has a rare genetic mutation that causes neurological issues and limits her mobility. Alli’s condition causes epilepsy, dyskinesia, developmental delay, speech issues and motor issues. The adaptive bike was custom-made for the girl’s physical therapy and is vital to strengthening her legs while allowing her to keep up with other neighborhood children.

Biden speaks on Israeli proposal to end war
A roadmap to end the Israel-Hamas war is now on the table. President Joe Biden unveiled a three-phase plan Thursday. "It's time to begin this new stage," Biden said.
The first phase includes a complete ceasefire for six weeks and the release of most hostages, including women, the elderly and the injured. "There are American hostages that would be released at this stage and we want them home," Biden said.Phase one also allows for a surge of 600 trucks of aid into Gaza daily.
Phase two calls for the release of all remaining hostages and the permanent removal of Israeli troops from Gaza. Phase three starts the reconstruction of Gaza including the building of hospitals, homes and schools.
