It's fair to say that Mass Effect Andromeda is different from its predecessors. Some of the enemies are new, the worlds are bigger, and Commander Shepard is nowhere to be seen. However, one thing it does have in common with other Bioware games is romance.

Like the previous installments, there are several relationships for you to pursue - depending on your gender. As always, many of them are compelling love stories, too. However, succeeding with your desired partner isn't always straightforward or simple. Sometimes you need to say or do certain things to win yon paramour's tender heart. Here is how to sweep each one -- human or alien -- off their feet.
10 Avela Kjar, The Wide-Eyed Historian
If you're interested in Angaran females, then look no further than Avela Kjar. She's a young historian that a male Ryder can romance. To begin things, go and see her at the Aya docks. In the following conversation, use the dialog option "To meet people like you." Then do the "Recovering the Past" and "Forgotten History" quests.
During them, you'll talk with her multiple times. In each discussion, look for the flirtatious dialog options - identified by a large heart in the dialog wheel. If you do so, then after "The Journey to the Meridian", you’ll receive an email from her asking to meet up. In the meeting say "This isn't the end, is it?" and you'll share a kiss. The relationship might help you learn more about the Angaran race.
9 Keri T'Vessa, The Sincere Reporter
While Shepard made a habit of punching journalists (which was something that didn't make sense about the hero), Ryder can romance one. The reporter in question is Keri T'Vessa who is making a documentary about the Initiative. As part of her project, she periodically interviews you throughout the game. It's during these moments that you can pursue a relationship with her regardless of your gender.
To do so, simply choose flirtatious dialog options at every opportunity. Also, when she suggests waiting until her vid is done say "I can wait until then." After all of the interviews are over and Keri is released from a cell, she invites you to Vortex. The two of you then spend an exciting evening together.
8 Gil Brodie, The Bawdy Engineer
If you're playing as a male Ryder, then the Tempest engineer, Gil Brodie, becomes a romantic option. In fact, the relationship with the guy is one of the deepest in the game. To get things going, you need to converse and flirt with him regularly. He's a pretty chatty person, so talking to him feels natural.

Once you're far enough into the story, he'll want to introduce you to his friend Jill. Before meeting her, Gil asks whether you're his boyfriend or not. Simply say "I'm your guy" to confirm the relationship. The rest of the romance includes deep discussions, a romantic encounter, and the pair becoming parents.
7 Vetra Nyx, The Lowkey Cinnamon Roll Turian
You have the chance to romance Vetra regardless of Ryder's gender. So, if you're interested in the Turian, flirt with her after every main mission. The two of you will talk about family and relationships quite a bit. Eventually, you'll get a loyalty mission where you have to save her younger sister Sid.
Once the sibling is safe, Vetra invites you to Sulfur Springs on Kadara. While there, you both do some stargazing before she asks you if your feelings are real. Of course, you want to reply with "It's real" which gives you the option of making out with her. Plus, it confirms the relationship and lets you complete the invisible "Turians Only" romance achievement.
6 Liam Kosta, TheHighkey Cinnamon Roll Human
For a female Ryder to initiate a romance with Liam, all they need to do is repeatedly flirt with the guy. At one point, Liam will tell you a story about a car that's being transported to Andromeda. After the talk, it's possible to hook up with Liam but this doesn't count as committing to the relationship.
That comes later when he sets up a game of soccer on Eos. He asks you about the potential of a relationship and you must answer with "Date me, not 'the pathfinder.'" This confirms the romance and later, Liam sets up a date on the same planet. He's a very simple man, but that makes his affection all the more endearing.
5 Peebee, The Curious Asari

Something you should know about the Asari is that they don't tend to care about the gender of their mates. Peebee is no different in that regard as she's willing to be romantically involved with either a male or female Ryder. Once she becomes a squadmate, you'll want to talk with her regularly after significant quests. And make sure to pick the romantic dialog options when they're available.
After a while, she will have turned her area on the ship in a zero-G chamber and she will suggest hooking up. To further the romance, you can either agree to the casual encounter or ask for something more serious ("strings attached"). Then, once her loyalty mission is completed, you'll get the option of truly committing to the relationship. The two then share several romantic moments together throughout the rest of the game.
4 Dr. Suvi Anwar, The CuteScientist
While she's not one of the strongest characters in the series, Suvi is an important member of the Tempest team. Throughout the game, she gives Ryder scientific intel on all the crazy things the Pathfinder comes across in Andromeda. And if Ryder happens to be female, the interactions can turn flirtatious. Keep speaking with her after the main quests making sure to choose the heart options at every opportunity.
Once you've completed "Hunting the Archon", talk to Suvi again and she'll ask you to have tea with her. During the pleasant break, you'll be able to kiss her and then tell her that your feelings are real. This action will confirm their romance which eventually leads to a steamy encounter in the Nexus tech labs.
3 Reyes Vidal, TheCharlatan
As either a male or female Ryder, you can startflirting with Reyes while you're investigating murders together. After dealing with the culprits, keep picking the flirtatious dialog and he'll question if you like him to which you can respond with "I do like you." This doesn't confirm the romance, however, as this relationship is a complicated one.

The two of you start spending more time together, flirting and even sharing a few kisses in the process. But the make-or-break moment of the romance comes after Reyes is revealed to be the much-derided Charlatan. He has a duel with Sloane and there's a sniper in the shadows waiting to confirm Reyes' victory. If you want to continue things with the Charlatan, you have to let Sloane die and then say "I want you. Only you..." in the next conversation.
2 Jaal Ama Darav, The Romantic Angaran
Whether you're a male or female Ryder, getting Jaal to fall for you is difficult. This is because the Angaran is initially distrustful of the Pathfinder. But by continually talking and flirting with him, you can open him up. It gets to a point where you can ask him, "Interested in me?" and he will respond positively.
After dealing with Akksul as part of Jaal's loyalty mission, you'll be able to meet his family. Then, while showing you around his home, he'll ask to be with you. By agreeing, you'll share a kiss with someone who rivals the entertainment value ofthe original trilogy companions. A little later, the two of you can declare your love for one another beside a beautiful waterfall.
1 Cora Harper, The Human Asari Commando
One of the best couples in the series is male Ryder and Cora, the badass Asari-trained Commando who may (or may not) be the Illusive Man's daughter. You can kick things off with the biotic immediately after boarding the Tempest. Find her in the Bio Lab and tell her "We'll be good together." Then, make sure to talk with her after every main mission and always pick the flirtatious dialog options.
A particularly important conversation occurs after Eos is settled. In this one, make sure to tell her "You and I can handle anything." Next, you should aim to complete the "Signs of Life" quest and later, her loyalty mission. Finally, you'll be asked to accompany her to a spot on Eos where she can plant a garden. It's there where you're able to kiss her. However, the climactic scene of the romance comes when she invites you to your own quarters.
