iWriter Review: How Good is Their Content? | Contentellect (2024)

I heard good things about iWriter, so I decided to order a piece of blog content from them to see if their service lives up to the hype.

For this iWriter review, I break down the experience that I had. This includes signing up, ordering an article, and reviewing the quality of what I received. Without giving too much of my review away, I can see why iWriter is such a popular service for ordering content, but overall I think the content quality is quite hit and miss.

Overall iWriter Review

I give iWriter 3.5 stars out of 5.

Pros

  • Very easy signup and ordering process
  • Exceptionally fast turnaround time
  • You can order content for all budgets
  • Large pool of writers available

Conclusion

iWriter is a good content writing service. You get access to a huge pool of writers, the turnaround time is solid, and the quality of writing can’t be criticized too much. I liked that you can accept or reject content before paying for it. The fact that their pricing options cater towards all budgets is also a good thing.

However, I have to question the consistency of iWriter quality. With so many different writers and such speedy turnaround times, clients could face all kinds of experiences. For my iWriter review, I was happy with what I received.

Trustpilot Reviews

iWriter has an excellent 4.2-star average rating on Trustpilot (see here). There were 53 reviews when I checked, and most of them were extremely positive.

The positive reviews praise the easy system that iWriter uses for ordering content, as well as the wide range of content services available. According to the reviews, the turnaround time is fast, and the quality of the articles is great.

Sure, there are a couple of unhappy customers on Trustpilot, but overall iWriter seems to be doing things right.

My iWriter Experience

For this iWriter review, I decided to order a piece of blog content to see just how good this service really is.

iWriter is a very popular blog writing service, with a base of 1520 writers. This is what helps the service to provide very fast and efficient content, written by someone with experience in whatever niche you’re requesting. I had to try it for myself.

Here is an overview of my iWriter experience, from signing up to reviewing the content that I received.

Was it worth it?

Let’s find out.

Signing Up

Signing up for iWriter and ordering content is very simple. It’s all done online (just like Textbroker or Verblio). The process from signing up to downloading your content involves five easy steps.

To get started, you just need to fill in the simple form to register for a free account. You can do this in two minutes. If you want to find out more about what iWriter has to offer and how the service can help you develop a content marketing strategy, there is also the option to book a call with them.

And that’s all it takes to get signed up. Once you’ve created an account, you can log into your profile and start to request content. Getting started with iWriter couldn’t get any easier.

Pricing

iWriter is very transparent about its pricing structure. I found this much easier to grasp than platforms like Textbroker, where the different pricing options are really confusing.

There are four different pricing tiers for iWriter content. These are Standard (1 star), Premium (2 stars), Elite (3 stars), and Elite Plus (4 stars). Each of these different pricing tiers charges per word.

This is what you would pay for a 1000 word article under each pricing tier:

  • Standard: $8.25
  • Premium: $11.50
  • Elite: $20.25
  • Elite Plus: $72

There is a pretty massive difference between Standard content and Elite Plus content, so I would assume that the difference in quality is significant too.

If you go for the lower tiers, iWriter is really affordable. However, this might not produce very strong content. The Elite and Elite Plus options are more in line with the other blog writing services that I have reviewed, so I chose an Elite blog post at $20.25 for 1000 words.

Creating Your Order

Creating your order is a really straightforward process. You just need to log into your account and use your dashboard to request the type of content that you want to be written.

iWriter offers a pretty good range of content writing services, including content for articles, eBooks, article rewrites, and Kindle books. If you’re looking for a wider range of copywriting services, such as web pages or product descriptions, then you’d be better off with a service like Contentellect or Constant Content.

Once you choose your type of content, then it's just a simple process of setting up your brief and placing the order. You can add in all of the expected details about your content (such as the tone of voice, content title, your website, keyword information, etc). You can also add in any other specific requests that you have for the writer.

When setting up my order, I found the process to be really quick and efficient, while still allowing me to request plenty of specific details.

Now, the really great thing about iWriter is that you don’t have to accept any content that you’re not happy with. First, you get sent a draft of your order. You can either approve or reject this, and you only have to pay for content that you approve. Once you’re happy with the content you get, you pay for it and download it.

Turnaround Time

One of the most impressive features of iWriter is its turnaround time. iWriter advertises that they can have as fast as a 30 minute turnaround time, which is the quickest possible time out of any content writing service. This is because iWriter uses such a large base of writers.

From my experience, I know that requesting too short of a turnaround time will probably result in a lower-quality article. However, I still wanted to test out the speediness of this service. So for my iWriter review, I requested a 48 hour turnaround time.

Content Quality

So far my iWriter review has been fantastic. Signing up was really easy, ordering content was simple, and the turnaround time was really speedy. Now it's time for the important question of how good the content actually was?

I ordered a simple 1000 word article written by a 3-star ‘Elite’ writer. This was my experience.

Would I Publish This Article?

When I received my first draft of the article, I thought it needed a bit of work. So, I requested a few edits from the writer. When the second draft came back, I downloaded it and was happy with the improvements.

I requested the same topic that I used for my Crowd Content review, and the article that I received was just as good. In fact, the iWriter article managed to add a bit more marketing insight. I was impressed by everything they included, especially considering the tight turnaround time.

The article was properly structured, it was easy to read, and all of the different sections made perfect sense. I shortened a couple of sentences and removed a few passive voice instances.

Besides these minor adjustments, I was happy with what I received. The round of editing definitely helped improve the quality of the article, but I think the writer really knew what they were doing.

If I came back to iWriter and ordered a second piece of content, I wonder if I would still get the same consistent level of content.

What Errors Did I Find?

At first glance, nothing with this blog article seemed to be off. I ran it through Grammarly to check for grammar mistakes (all clear), and I ran it through Copyscape to check for plagiarism (7% which is acceptable).

The article was missing a high authority external link which I had requested. This was easy for me to fix. There were also two inconsistently long paragraphs that I had to break down a bit. However, these are minor things. There were no serious errors in the content that I received.

Customer Service

When you order content through iWriter, everything is really simple to do through your profile. I had no need for customer service so I can’t really comment.

The writer was easy to communicate with, and they made it easy to set up a sales call or get in touch with a customer service rep. I did see some reviews mentioning great customer service experiences, so I’ll take their word for it.

This seems to be pretty easy to access. In my experience, everything was done online so there was no need to get in touch with any support staff. From some of the reviews that I had read on Trustpilot, customer support was heavily criticized.
