If you're pop culture-obsessed like I am then you know it feels like every single celebrity has launched a beauty brand. And TBH, as Best Products' beauty editor, I've got some real celebrity beauty brand fatigue until Rihanna recently debuted Fenty Hair. Bad Gal Riri's latest venture inspired me to reflect on the current state of celebrity beauty brands, and there are some real standouts among the influx of celebrity and influencer brands.

During my nearly 8 years in journalism, I focused heavily on the intersection of beauty, fashion, and pop culture, interviewing stars like Dua Lipa, Kendall Jenner, Demi Lovato, and Sheryl Crow for Billboard, Harper's BAZAAR, and The Hollywood Reporter. I've explained how Rihanna built a beauty empire for NBC News and broken viral news, including when Daniel Kaluuya, lead of Jordan Peele's Get Out, wore Fenty Beauty foundation to the Oscars. I’ve even profiled Lady Gaga’s hairstylist about how the pair amassed a museum-worthy collection of 5,000 custom wigs over a decade-long creative partnership and friendship.

Throughout my professional career, I've tested all of the celebrity and influencer-founded beauty brands you can think of, and I can confidently say these 32 are legit. Beyond spotlighting well-known brands such as Rare Beauty by Selena Gomez and Fenty Beauty by Rihanna, I dug deep into our beauty closet and revisited more underrated brands, such as Sienna Naturals by Issa Rae, and OAM SKIN by Ciara.

For anyone into clean beauty, look no further than The Outset by Scarlett Johansson, which is made with hypoallergenic and vegan-friendly ingredients, like vitamins and collagen. Plus, it's the only refillable beauty product on this list, which we appreciate. That vegan friend of yours? You know what to get them for their birthday, now.

To simplify your shopping needs, I highlighted my favorite editor-approved product from each celebrity beauty brand. For easy scrolling, I also ordered the brands by category, starting with hair, fragrance, skincare and ending with makeup.

Flawless Hydrating Co-Wash Cleansing Hair Conditioner

I’m a Beauty Editor, and These are the 35 Celebrity Beauty Brands Actually Worth Buying (3)

Who says you have to splurge to indulge in a celebrity beauty brand? Gabrielle Union and her longtime hairstylist Larry Sims teamed up on the hair care brand Flawless — and everything is $10 and under. The line features collections geared toward various curl patterns and those who sport protective styles, like braids, wigs, and weaves.

Her co-wash gently removes impurities, such as dirt and oil, without stripping the hair of its natural moisture. Infused with Brazilian Bacuri Butter and Moringa Oil to detangle, hydrate, and condition hair. After shampooing, let this product sit for up to 5 minutes, rinse, and follow up with a conditioner for a healthy scalp.

Who doesn’t love Issa Rae? The actress, writer, producer, record label owner, and entrepreneur co-founded Sienna Naturals, a cruelty-free beauty line focused on healthy textured hair.

The Her Wash Day duo includes two fundamental haircare products: shampoo and conditioner. H.A.P.I. Shampoo removes product buildup, while moisturizers, including baobab seed oil and glycerin, ensure the scalp is clean but not stripped of necessary hydration. The Untangled Multivitamin Conditioner softens the hair and adds a nice slip for seamless detangling.

Real talk: TPH by Taraji P. Henson is completely underrated! Her affordably priced haircare line is well worth using, including Master Cleanse, an award-winning targeted scalp wash compatible with all hair textures.

Lolavie Glossing Detangler

I’m a Beauty Editor, and These are the 35 Celebrity Beauty Brands Actually Worth Buying (6)

Jennifer Aniston popularized “The Rachel” haircut during Friends, so it shouldn't be surprising that she eventually created the haircare line Lolavie.

Spitz on the Glossing Detangler before blowdrying to ensure your hair brush or comb runs smoothly through your tresses. It's infused with plant-based ingredients to soften the hair, minimize pesky flyaways, and impart a soft, glossy finish.

If you’ve long idolized Tracee Ellis Ross’ signature curls since her portrayal as Joan on Girlfriends, then definitely incorporate PATTERN Beauty into your beauty routine.

Cecred Reconstructing Treatment Mask

I’m a Beauty Editor, and These are the 35 Celebrity Beauty Brands Actually Worth Buying (8)

Hair masks are the cornerstone of a solid haircare routine, and Beyoncé is already a star, much like its founder. Our friends at Women's Health already bestowed it with a beauty award, and looking at the ingredients, it's easy to see why. Plus, knowing Bey's work ethic and the fact that her mother is a hairstylist, I already knew the haircare line would undoubtedly be on point.

The Reconstructing Treatment Mask uses keratin to help reduce breakage and damage, while a trifecta of cuticle-sealing oil, vitamin E, and antioxidants ensures your hair looks gorgeous and healthy after each use.

Beyoncé is also known for her stunning blonde hair, and she fully understands that silicones are the enemy of color-treated hair. So, unsurprisingly, the line is free of silicones, SLS, SLES, parabens, and phthalates. Those with chemically treated hair or heat style frequently will also come to rely on this hair mask for some much-needed nourishment.

BETTER WORLD FRAGRANCE HOUSE Sweeter Tings Scented Candle

I’m a Beauty Editor, and These are the 35 Celebrity Beauty Brands Actually Worth Buying (9)

Everyone's a Drake fan, even if it's in secret. (Ahem, Spotify Wrapped doesn't lie). So whether you're shopping for the future first lady of the OVO (let her enjoy her delulu dreams), a loyal Drake fan who actively posts on his Reddit page, or someone who just really enjoys elevated home fragrances, this is the perfect gift for everyone responsible enough to exterminate the open flame before bedtime.

The paraben- and phthalate-free candle has a warm amber gourmand scent. It opens up with citrus notes, middle notes of white Italian figs, black tea leaves, and dewy rose petals, and a base note of warm cedarwood. Talk about enticing!

As a bonus, each candle comes with a marker so you can leave a custom note on the candle vessel. Or you can encourage your giftee to get creative and doodle their heart away instead.

You simply can't go wrong with gifting a vanilla scent. I previously named Eilish "The Next Big Thing" in my guide to the best perfumes, and I still stand by that statement. I especially love it because it opens up with sweet notes of sugared petals, red berries, and mandarin orange before the middle notes of vanilla, cacao, and rose become dominant. Once it's the base note's turn to flex, a warm blend of amber, musk, and tonka beans becomes noticeable.

I'm obsessed with everything Henry Rose, the clean perfume line from Hollywood icon Michelle Pfeiffer. No, really — I recently named it the best celebrity fragrance line in my guide to the best perfume for women.

All the scents are technically unisex, but Flora Carnivora features more traditionally feminine olfactory notes, including soft jasmine, tuberose, and orange flower. Regardless of who you're buying this perfume for, they'll be the best smelling person in the room.

Owen Wilson is the Chief Shampoo Officer of California Natural, an affordable skincare and haircare brand infused with plant-based ingredients that won't irritate sensitive skin. It contains derm-approved ingredients, such as aloe vera, antioxidant-rich chlorophyll, coconut, vitamin, and avocado oil.

Wilson says of his new partnership, “It’s designed for those with hair and skin on the drier side, so it’s incredibly hydrating, but everyone will love these—especially because of the scent. And how would I describe the scent? Imagine yourself walking through a freshly cut lawn while eating ripe figs. Yeah, now you got it. That’s the scent. I can’t wait for these to hit the shelves!”

Kinlo Coconut Body Oil

I’m a Beauty Editor, and These are the 35 Celebrity Beauty Brands Actually Worth Buying (15)

You'll notice a trend in this story of three tennis stars who created beauty products, and honestly, they're all legit. Kinlo by Naomi Osaka has plenty of products to choose from, including sunscreen, but I want to highlight her multipurpose coconut oil. It can be used to remove makeup, as a massage oil, and as an epic moisturizer.

Most coconut oils will turn solid, making it a low-key pain to melt before applying to your body. Kinlo's version only contains three ingredients and promises to not turn solid, which is always appreciated. The entire line is also vegan and cruelty-free, so animal lovers will appreciate this gift.

Meaningful Beauty AGE RECOVERY NIGHT CRÈME

I’m a Beauty Editor, and These are the 35 Celebrity Beauty Brands Actually Worth Buying (17)

As a 90s baby, Cindy Crawford has been and always will be my favorite supermodel. From watching her on House of Style reruns to seeing her in Revlon ads during MTV intermissions, and of course her iconic Pepsi commercial, Crawford is simply the best. And if you're like me and also grew up seeing the Guthy Ranker infomercials spotlighting Meaningful Beauty then you already know I just had to highlight Cindy Crawford's skincare line.

Meaningful Beauty's hero ingredient is an antioxidant-rich melon, and naturally, it's found in this face cream. There's also retinol, an anti-aging superstar dermatologists can't get enough of using and recommending to their patients. Not only does this face boost skin hydration, but it helps plump up lines and wrinkles and improve skin texture, firmness, and elasticity.

OAM SKIN Vitamin C Eye Revitalizer

I’m a Beauty Editor, and These are the 35 Celebrity Beauty Brands Actually Worth Buying (18)

Ciara created a line of clinical-level skincare products safe for all skin tones. Everything in the line is incredibly gentle and free of potential irritants, including fragrances, dyes, fillers, parabens, and sulfates.

In our guide to the best eye creams for dark circles, dermatologists told me vitamin C is rich in antioxidants and helps lighten the dark undereye area. Ciara launched the ultimate eye cream because her product combines three stable forms of vitamin C. It also contains soothing niacinamide and hydrating hyaluronic acid.

KNOWBEAUTY Glacial Bay Clay Mask

Vanessa Hudgens is a woman of the people. “I wanted to bring something to people who have the same skincare struggles as me, and offer it where they shop at a price they can afford,” Hudgens said during our chat about relaunching her skincare line on Amazon.

The sole product from the relaunch is the Glacial Bay Clay Mask, which uses Canadian colloidal, kaolin, and bentonite clays to soak up excess oil, unclog pores, and minimize the appearance of enlarged pores. It can be applied to the entire face a few times a week and can be used as a spot treatment on stubborn acne.

The Outset Firming Vegan Collagen Prep Serum

Look, Scarlett Johansson’s skincare line debuted when many were fatigued from celebrity beauty brands. But thanks to the impressive formulations of her clean products, she successfully proved detractors wrong. In fact, her line has won over my fellow beauty editors and nabbed coveted awards.

So if you can only try one product from her line, let it be this potent face serum. Not only is it fragrance-free and non-comedogenic aka it won't cause acne, but it helps smooth lines and boosts skin elasticity and radiance.

Also, it's a refillable beauty product, which is easier on your wallet and the environment – a win-win!

This creamy face cleanser clarifies the skin with ferulic acid, while seaweed, ivy, lemon, and sage minimize excess oil so your skin doesn't look shiny. It also helps remove makeup, meaning you don't have to spend extra on a separate product.

JLo Beauty That Blockbuster Cream

I’m a Beauty Editor, and These are the 35 Celebrity Beauty Brands Actually Worth Buying (24)

Is there a modern celebrity as glamorous as Jennifer Lopez? While her red carpet and street style fashions live on my secret Pinterest boards, Lopez’s youthful appearance after decades in the business still has me shook. One potential way to achieve that signature J.Lo glow without makeup is by nurturing the skin we have.

The star ingredient of this body cream is hyaluronic acid, which TikTokers and dermatologists love. The clear liquid attracts water to the skin like a magnet and helps lock in moisture and plump the skin for an anti-aging effect.

Alicia Keys teamed up with e.l.f. to launch her beauty lifestyle brand Keys Soulcare. The line is all about keeping things simple and as natural as possible. Available at reader-favorite online shops, including Ulta and Sephora, you can't go wrong with whatever items from the line you incorporate into your at-home routine.

That being said, this face cream has earned snaps from many reviewers. You've got bakuchiol, a plant-based retinol alternative, Ayurvedic extracts, and malachite, a beautiful stone lauded by ancient Egyptians for its transformative power. It also contains ceramides and hyaluronic acid to help lock in long-lasting moisture.
